 MEMBERSHIP

HOW IT WORKS

Member Commitment

  • Anyone with an interest in supporting non-profit charities in the St. Charles County area is welcome to join us! Members are asked to sign a letter of commitment. Please see the pink form buttons to the RIGHT.

  • Each member must commit to donating $100 per meeting ($400 per year). OR commit to teaming up with one other woman and donating $50 per meeting ($200 per year). See forms on the right. Your commitment only ends if you email the committee to let them know.

  • If you are unable to attend, please give your check to another member to deliver on your behalf, or mail it to 100 WWC-STC, c/o Diane Clay, 810 Conch Terr., Lake St. Louis, Mo 63367. If the selected charity has an online option, those not in attendance will also have the option to pay online and then email receipt to hundredwomen@gmail.com to keep "active" status.

  • Each member's donation shall be given to the non-profit charity selected by the majority vote of the membership.

  • Meetings are held once per quarter. Every attempt will be made to limit the meeting to less than an hour with opportunities to socialize before and after our meetings.

Charity Selection Process

  • Three non-profit charities will be considered for selection at each meeting and will be decided upon by a vote of the membership.

  • Members may submit a charity for consideration 30 days prior to the next quarterly meeting.

  • Each charity that is randomly drawn by the leadership committee may be presented by either the nominating member or a representative of the charity. The presenter will be given 5-7 minutes to make a case for supporting that charity. If the sponsoring member is not present, the entry will be put back into the drawing for another meeting.

  • Following the presentations, members will vote on which charity to support. The vote is binding; you must donate to the charity which wins the vote, even if you did not vote for it.

  • Charities that present and are NOT selected will be placed back into the drawing process after two years.

  • Charities that present and ARE selected will be placed back into the drawing process after four years.

 Charity Qualifications

  • Only 501(c)(3) organizations will be considered. A 501(c)(3) has been officially recognized by the IRS as a tax-exempt charitable organization and should have a letter from the IRS confirming this status.

  • Donations will be given strictly to St. Charles County area non-profits. Local chapters of national charities will be considered if 100% of the contribution stays in the community.

  • The charity selected must agree NOT to use the individual donors' names for future solicitations or give their information to the public. If the charity does not adhere to this condition, it will be removed from any future consideration.

Making Donations

  • Donations are made directly to the selected non-profit by individual members. 100+ Women does not handle any of the funds and does not take any cut. All proceeds go directly to the selected charity.

  • Tax deduction statements may be sent directly to each member from the selected organization.
